Dr. Katie Bannon Taylor received her B.S in psychology from Yale University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey. Dr. Taylor completed her pre-doctoral internship year at Long Island Jewish Medical Center-The Zucker Hillside Hospital.
Dr. Taylor is experienced in the treatment of eating and weight disorders for adolescents and adults, primarily treating Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Eating Disorder NOS. Dr. Taylor is an experienced therapist for treatment of Anxiety, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Depression and has had extensive training in working with children and adolescents.
Dr. Taylorinstructs a Cognitive Behavior Therapy Course at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia and has peer reviewed articles for the journal Body Image. Her past research has focused on eating disorder prevention for adolescents, weight stigmatization in Binge Eating Disorder, physiological correlates of body image dissatisfaction, and obesity prevention.
